Here we are in the dog days of August! I’ve been cleaning out the storage closets in the Sunday school rooms (no air conditioning) and it’s given new meaning to Psalm 42:1, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.” May the water of the Word quench our thirsty souls.
As I start to prepare for a new school year:
Proverbs 16:3
Commit to the Lord
whatever you do,
and your plans will succeed.
I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonders.
I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:1-2 NIV
Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, “Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.” John 7:37-38 NLT
Philippians 4:6 Do not worry about anything, but in everthing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let request be made known to God.
On your feet – applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter, sing yourselves into His presence. Psam 100: 1-2 (Msg)
On Aug 1st as I go to sleep in a hotel room in Tulsa Oklahoma after safely arriving openned Bible and it fell on Ps.116. The top of the page said ” Praise for answered prayers” 116:1 I love the Lord, for He heard my voice; He heard my cry for mercy.
This is for the 15th of the month as I will not have a computer that day:)
Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. Ephesians 6:19 NIV
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6
Know this….God is God and God, God.
He made us; we did not make him.
We’re his people, his well-tended sheep
Psalm 100:3 (Msg)
