“He said to them, ‘Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.’ When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet.” Luke 24:38-40
Are you feeling troubled today?
Are doubts filling your mind?
I have a suggestion for you.
Look at Jesus.
See the wounds
in His hands and feet.
Those healed scars are there to remind you
the extent to which He would go
to prove how much He loves you.
Those nail holes are big enough
to swallow up your troubles and doubts.
Pour them all down into the glorious hollows.
He wasn’t some ethereal apparition, floating like a phantom.
He had flesh on the outside.
He had bones on the inside.
He had actual feet standing on the ground.
He had genuine, touchable skin.
He was real.
Christ came near to His disciples in the midst of their doubts.
He didn’t wait for their belief.
He is in the room with you now.
Let Him show you what is real.
