Perhaps part of adoring Him is the desire to be in His presence. The more I lean into knowing Him, the more I want to get close to him, the more I stand in awe. Is awe different than adoration?
Awe: an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, fear, etc., produced by that which is grand, sublime, extremely powerful, or the like. Adoration: the act of paying honor, as to a divine being; worship; reverent homage; fervent and devoted love.
It seems that awe is the feeling and adoration is the act that follows the feeling. The two are close, though!
